The most important thing to remember before praying for a financial miracle or breakthrough is that God cares more about our relationship with Him — our heart, soul, character; moral compass; Christ-like virtues, etc — than how much money we have in the bank. Many times when God speaks of “prosperity” for His children, He is speaking of strong faith, happy life, good health, strong prayer, blessing of loved ones. Notice how ‘prosperity’ sometimes has nothing to do with money, especially if that money were to harm or block a deepening relationship with God. God knows that if our heart’s condition is not rightly ordered, wealth could actually hinder our spiritual progress and even our salvation — the most important aspect of our earthly lives.
That being said, God is infinitely wise. He understands that having money is a necessary part of life as well. After all, how can we bless others with the gift of finance if we ourselves are in lack? Once our hearts are properly ordered, God loves to bless (financially) His children, especially when He knows we’ll be good stewards of those blessings.
“Wealth and riches are in their houses,
and their righteousness endures forever.”
As I keep my eyes fixed on You, Lord, following Your precepts and all Your ways, all these things shall be added unto me. All for Your glory, Lord!
Psalm 112:3
“The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the Lord will lack no good thing.”
I seek Your face, Lord, all the day long. Thank You for the great promise that I shall lack no good thing!
Psalm 34:10
“The [righteous] person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.”
Thank You for Your blessing, Lord! Thank You for prospering me in ways I couldn’t have fathomed! Thank You for what’s coming!
Psalm 1:3
“Lord, save us!
Lord, grant us success!”
Your Word is final, Lord. It can not fail. Thank You for saving me and for granting me with success!
Psalm 118:25
“May those who delight in My vindication
shout for joy and gladness;
may they always say, “The Lord be exalted,
Who delights in the well-being His servant.”
I delight in Your vindication, Lord! I shout with joy and gladness! Thank You for exalting me and prospering all the works of my hands.
Psalm 35:27
“The eyes of all look to You,
and You give them their food at the proper time.
You open Your hand
and satisfy the desires of every living thing.”
My eyes are fixed on You, Lord! You give me everything I need at the perfect time. You open Your loving hand and satisfy my every desire. Thank You!
Psalm 145:15-16
