The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart,
and saves such as have a contrite spirit.
PSALM 34:18
In brokenness and contrition the humbled person cries out to God for
help. He reaches out to Christ for restoration and healing.
He exercises faith in another because he knows he must touch
someone greater than himself. Similarly he seeks out others
he can serve and in his suffering service finds fulfillment
and freedom from himself. I
t is to such souls that God gives Himself gladly, freely.
