Introducing Selah Hours: Relaxing Worship Music for Sleep and Anxiety
Share
"It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep."
— Psalm 127:2 (KJV)
We have some news we've been praying over for a long time: we have finally launched our worship music channel for sleep and anxiety. It's called Selah Hours, and it's a home for gentle, Jesus-centered worship music to play when your mind won't slow down, when the night feels long, or when you simply need to rest in His presence.
The word Selah appears again and again in the Psalms. It's often understood as a pause: a moment to stop, breathe and take in what God has said. That's exactly what we pray this channel becomes for you.
Here is our very first release, a full hour of soft piano worship called Let Go & Sleep:

God Gives His Beloved Sleep
Psalm 127 reminds us that rising early, staying up late and worrying over every detail doesn't build what only God can build. Rest isn't laziness. It's trust. When you lay your head down, you're telling the Lord, "You're holding this, so I don't have to."
David knew this kind of trust even when life around him was falling apart: "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me to dwell in safety" (Psalm 4:8). The same God who watched over David watches over you tonight.
Rest From a Weary, Fallen World
Let's be honest: this world can feel loud, restless and a little mad. The news never stops, the to-do list never ends, and anxious thoughts love to show up right when the lights go off. Jesus never pretended otherwise. He said, "In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world" (John 16:33).
And His invitation still stands: "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Selah Hours is our small way of helping you answer that invitation: to step away from the noise and rest in the One who has already overcome it.
If worry tends to follow you to bed, you might also pray along with An Evening Prayer for a Worried Heart: Resting in God's Care.
We're Just Getting Started
This is only the beginning. We're slowly filling the channel with more worship for sleep, anxiety and quiet time, and we'd love you to be part of it from day one. You can also find our sleep music anytime under the new Sleep & Calm tab on our Worship & Sermons page.
A few simple ways to use it:
- At bedtime: Dim the lights, put your phone face down and let the music play as you whisper a short prayer.
- In anxious moments: Pause, breathe slowly and read one verse, like Psalm 4:8, while the music plays.
- During quiet time: Use it as gentle background while you read your Bible or journal.

A Prayer for Rest
Lord Jesus, thank You that You give Your beloved sleep. Tonight I lay down every worry, every unfinished task and every anxious thought at Your feet. Quiet my mind and calm my heart. Thank You that You never slumber nor sleep, and that I can rest because You are watching over me. Let Your peace guard my heart and my dreams, and wake me with fresh mercy in the morning. In Your name I pray, Amen.
Do you know Jesus personally? ✝️
If you're weary tonight, God loves you right where you are. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). You don't have to clean yourself up first. Jesus already paid for every sin on the cross and rose again.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved" (Romans 10:9).
If you want to receive Him today, you can pray something like this:
"Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God, that You died for my sins and rose again. I receive Your forgiveness and Your love. Come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. Thank You for making me Yours. Amen."
If you prayed that, welcome to the family of God! 🎉 Tell a Christian friend or a local church, start reading the Gospel of John, and take your next step with How to Know Jesus Deeply: 7 Simple Ways to Grow Closer to Him.
